Adding a Send FX

Let's add a Send FX to our three tracks.

First of all, click on the Sends section menu button [...] and navigate down your VST folder tree to the desired VST FX.

I am using Ambience from Magnus at SmartElectronix. You can download it from KvR.
The Send FX appears in the Sends section of the Mixer. You can disable/enable the FX by clicking the Power button in front of the name and you can open it for editing by double-clicking its name, or by right-clicking the FX name, then selecting Edit.

These controls are followed by a set of preset controls for the FX.
In addition, a Send Level strip appears at the end of each audio output within the Sequencer. You can see them below the Classic EQ that we inserted on the MIDI track and below the audio controls for the 2 audio tracks. Each Send Level strip has a pre-fader/post-fader switch and the Send level control.

I have set the Ambience Send on CM101 to pre-fader and the send level to 37. Just take a few minutes to try out the Send FX controls, while I have a coffee.

At the moment, you cannot add Send FX to the Sequencer's master outputs.

Some more tidying up, before the next stage. So far we have worked completely within one Arrangement. It has three tracks with several parts. Let's create a second Arrangement.
Double click the arrangement name ("untitled") and enter a new name, then click OK. You can switch between the two arrangements by dragging the arrangement name up or down.
