Q-12: Is there any latency compensation in EnergyXT?
A: -
- Not at the moment. But Silicon/sicilium suggested a "hardware"comp, with an integrated midi out,
and audio in, that could be inserted in the sequencer or the main window.
====
Q-13:
What does the ALT and drag (your notes in the piano roll) do?
A -
- It changes the length of the note and the velocity.
====
Q-14:
- How can I in a simple manner change position and pitch of my note?
A - sicilium/silicon
- 1 double click in the piano roll
- 2 hold the mouse after 2nd click and you can move it anywhere you want, so changing position
and pitch

Q-16:
SAMPLER - Can I quickly replace and preview a sample by dragging it from the browser?
A - DarkStar
- Not by dragging form the browser, I'm afraid.
at the moment, you can:
- right-click the sample name in the sound tree
- Replace sample,
- browse to the desired sample,
- click it to select it, Ok
It's a bit painful at the moment as Replace Sample does not remember the last path used.
It always starts from C:\
Perhaps it should start in the folder used for the sample being replaced, or in the folder
used by Insert Sample?

Q-20:
SAMPLER - where is the MIDI channel setting?
A -
- placing a Midi chs-component before the sampler
I don't know where it is in the sampler component, but you can place a 'MIDI chs' component
before input of the sampler and create the channel input/output relation there.
If the sampler is being used in the sequencer I don't know of the correct way to do it
(possibly using some MIDI plugin before it on the MIDI track).
- inside the sampler
In a Sampler look at top left corner where you find "Multi" . You must turn it on by
power buton. Then click on "..." and select "Add sound" and now you can assign any midi channel
to any layer.

Q-24:
ARPEGGIATOR COMPONENT- How can I restore the default settings of the random-function?
example: (esl) I like the random-function that comes with the arpeggiator. I think I might
have unknowingly altered some parameters and now I can't get it to work the same.
Before, I would select a root key, hit "random", and a random arp pattern would appear.
The arp pattern keys that would appear would be within some similar chord structures to the
root key. Great.
Now, when I hit "random", the arp pattern that is generated only puts notes in the root
key octaves, and ignores all the other keys. For example, if my root key is C-3,
the arp pattern only puts notes in C-2 and C-4.
A - DarkStar
- Try this:
- Clear any current notes from the pattern
- enter the notes you would like to use
- click the > after Rnd, and select "Use as Random source"
- click Rnd
That should do it.
Then you can try changing some of the settings too.

Q-28:
CHORDS COMPONENT- WORKAROUND - How do I get a wider array of notes:
Is it possible to have a larger range of pitches in the chords module,
when set to 'fixed' mode?
Right now it looks like you can pick notes from C2 - C5 (3 octaves) and I'd really
like to make chords with a wider array of notes.
A - tali
- Tip:
- Insert two or more Chord comps.
- After each Chord comp, insert a MIDI Patcher, then connect this to the VSTi MIDI input.
- Using the MIDI Patcher transpose functions (labeled "trsp"), apply the needed offsets.
With this method, one can play chords across the entire MIDI range as needed. It just requires
one to calculate the transposition offset numbers (in semitones), required for a given chord voicing.

Q-46:
SAMPLER - If you build multisampled synth sounds: can you access more layer level parameters
(not just volume and cutoff, like Q, attack, decay, etc.)?
A - D-Fusion
- with a multisampled sampleset you have loaded: click on all the wav names that are grouped
to the layer and you can tweak them as you wish with all the parameters
For Multi-Layered sounds:
- Load 2 layers in the sampler. Go up to the multi bar and hit the square button.
- Then you click the icon beside the noname bar and click "add sound".
After that select layer 1, and do the same again and select the next layer in the list.
- Switch power on. (The button next to the multi in the multi bar)
Now there you have 2 layers playing together
That way you can create endless presets in the multi bar with all the layers you want
